Haerpfer, C., Inglehart, R., Moreno,A., Welzel,C., Kizilova,K., Diez-Medrano J., M.European Values Study 2017: Integrated Dataset (EVS 2017). The Joint EVS/WVS is constructed from the one EVS and one WVS source datasets: Ten of these countries conducted surveys in both waves EVS and WVS. The WVS archive (JDS Madrid) has been responsible for data archiving and data processing for the non-European surveys including the WVS surveys conducted in Andorra, Armenia, Czechia, Cyprus, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, and Ukraine. Based on the Common EVS/EVS Dictionary agreed by EVS and WVS the Joint EVS/WVS 2017-2022 dataset (Joint EVS/WVS) has been constructed in close collaboration. The fifth version of the Joint EVS/WVS includes data and documentation of altogether 90 countries and territories: 36 from the EVS 2017, 64 from the WVS7. The EVS archive (GESIS-DAS) has been responsible for data archiving and data processing of the European surveys. Both organisations developed their draft questionnaires independently, with the overlapping items defining the Common Core of both questionnaires. They are marked in yellow in the two Master Questionnaires (available for download below). Ten countries (Armenia, Czechia, Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, and Ukraine) conducted surveys in both waves EVS 2017 and WVS7. WVSA has been responsible for planning and conducting surveys in countries in the world outside Europe as well as several European surveys (Andorra, Cyprus, Greece, Northern Ireland), using the WVS questionnaire and WVS methodological guidelines. In line with it, EVS has been responsible for planning and conducting surveys in European countries, using the EVS questionnaire and EVS methodological guidelines. The World Values Survey Association (WVSA) and the European Values Study (EVS) are happy to announce the release of the final version (4.0.0) of the official joint EVS-WVS 2017-2022 data-set produced within the framework of the cooperation agreement ( Memorandum of Understanding) completed between the two research programs.
